Festival Flamboyan

Festival Flamboyán is a one-day festival on June 8th that will be a celebration of Puerto Rican arts and culture, including food, arts & crafts, music, theatre, dance, and comedy. The festival will showcase the multi-faceted aspects of the Puerto Rican experience, with a wide range of artistic disciplines, genres, and artistic expression on display. The festival is an amazing opportunity to bring together the 40,000 Puerto Ricans who call Colorado home, as well as exposing Coloradans of every background to the beauty, innovation, and eclecticism of Puerto Rico.

From 12-4pm there will be an Artist Market featuring

  • Visual arts
  • Interactive activities for kids
  • A Book Fair
  • Poetry performances
  • Live music
  • Puerto Rican food and drinks

From 5-10pm we will present our variety show El Espectáculo

  • Improv comedy
  • Short plays Playa Flamenco and We Reserve the Right of Admission
  • Dance

Get ready to dance the night away starting with a Beginner Salsa Dance Lesson and then the amazing sound of "SABOR DE LA CALLE", best Salsa band in Colorado. Also known for their high-energy performances and talented musicians.

Admission includes Beginner Salsa Dance lesson and Sabor de Calle show.

" Sabor de la de Calle " is local band based in Denver, Colorado. Featuring 10 amazing, highly accomplished musicians from all over the globe. Samson Robles is the founder and musical director since 2008.
"Marcela Dance" Marcela Lay is originally from Chile.
Marcela is an amazing Salsa instructor and event organizer in Boulder. Marcela has performed in Boulder Dancing with the stars and Boulder Outdoors, Intercambio and many more. She has taught at Match.com, Salsaville, CALDAC etc. and Founder of Havana Nights (Social at the Dairy Arts Center) and "A Lo Cubano" Boulder Fest (3 days Festival).
